I think we all remember the infamous Drake line from “Duppy” where he mentioned Pusha T’s longtime girlfriend and fiancée, Virgina Williams. Drake said, “I told you keep playing with my name and I’ma let it ring on you like Virginia Williams….” Well, Pusha T is married now as he made an honest woman out of Virgina this past weekend.
JUST MARRIED: Pusha T & Virginia Wiliams Tie The Knot
It’s a great day in hip hop as love is in the air! On Saturday, at the historic Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach, Virginia, rapper and G.O.O.D. music president Pusha T married his longtime fiancée, Virgina Williams. The couple have been together for 13 years. Virginia and Pusha T met at a Hell Hath No Fury album release party in her hometown of Norfolk, VA. It was love at first sight.
Many of you may not have even known that Pusha T, whose legal name is Terrence Thornton, was even engaged as Pusha doesn’t speak much on his private life. Drake spoke on Virginia in his song, Duppy, a diss track aimed at Pusha T. In case your forgot that epic line, Drake said the following:
I told you keep playing with my name and I’ma let it ring on you like Virginia Williams….
Well, not too long after Drake spit those lyrics, Pusha T put a ring on Virginia in front of their family and friends on 7/21. Virginia spoke with Brides and she shared that 7/21 is a number of importance for her and Pusha T.
For whatever reason I see the number 721 almost everyday in crazy places. On 7/21/16 Terrence had me believing he was in LA, but popped up at our home in Bethesda,” Virginia told us of their romantic engagement. “He told me to meet him on our rooftop terrace…when I did he was on one knee and asked me to marry him at 7:21 pm! I said yes!
Before the wedding began, Kim Kardashian-West let it be known that the West family was in the building. Kardashian posted video of her glam ensemble on Instagram. Posing in front of a mirror, she showed off her gold Balmain mini dress, which she paired with a sparkling Judith Leiber clutch that’s shaped like a retro cell phone. She also flashed to her husband Kanye who looked handsome in his black suit.

Not only was the West family in the building but Pusha T’s twin brother, No Malice, officiated the wedding in their hometown. Pharrell Williams, a close friend, served as the best man. Weddings often become emotional so guests were treated to beautiful custom handkerchiefs with Pusha T and Virginia’s new monogram embroidered.

Pusha T Performed At His Wedding Reception:
At the Wedding reception, Pusha T and Virginia danced to the “Makings of You” by Curtis Mayfield. In planning the wedding, Virginia and Pusha T definitely wanted their guest to feel comfortable to turn up. To ensure that everyone could dance, the couple outfitted the whole party in custom Adidas slides. Musical performances included Pusha T as well as Fabolous stepped up to the mic. DJ Clark Kent also was there to make sure that the party was hype.
For the main course, guests dined on a menu of lobster, lamb and short rib. On the patio, guests could indulge in smoking cigars and sipping on a signature Cognac at the bar. The wedding also featured a dessert room featuring a selection of mini desserts and a beautiful wedding cake. As a final treat, guests were treated to a final late night send off snack, courtesy of Feather & Fin Food Truck—one of the couple’s favorite local eateries.
