[VIDEO] As Diddy Eyes Carolina Panthers, Steph Curry Joins Forces W/ Him To Secure Bid
Long before reports surfaced about the Carolina Panthers being up for grabs, Sean “Diddy” Combs revealed he was interested in changing the history of professional sports. Shortly after he made that statement, the owner of the Carolina Panthers found himself at the center of a sexual harassment scandal and opted to sell the team. You can probably guess how Diddy responded. Now, he has quite a few benefactors looking to join forces with him to purchase the pricey NFL team. According to TMZ, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is the latest to express interest in the team.
I would like to buy the @Panthers. Spread the word. Retweet!

“This Is Real”:
When TMZ caught up with the Dub Nation star, he was asked about the business surrounding the Carolina Panthers. Steph revealed he and Diddy are making real progress toward buying the NFL team. So, it’s obvious Diddy, the famed NBA baller, and former San Francisco 49ers star Colin Kaepernick are hard at work outside of the public eye. “This is a real thing, so hopefully it happens sooner than later,” Steph confirmed.
Diddy and Steph Curry’s interest in the Carolina Panthers comes shortly after the current owner Jerry Richardson’s decision to sell the team. Back in December, team spokesman Steven Drummond released a statement about the allegations brought against Richardson, according to ESPN.
The Carolina Panthers and Mr. Richardson take these allegations very seriously and are fully committed to a full investigation and taking appropriate steps to address and remediate any misconduct,” Drummond said. “The entire organization is fully committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable and diverse work environment where all individuals, regardless of sex, race, color, religion, gender, or sexual identity or orientation, are treated fairly and equally. We have work to do to achieve this goal, but we are going to meet it.”
For those who don’t know, the Carolina Panthers franchise has a massive price tag of $1 billion, making it the 23rd-most valuable sports franchise. So, for Steph and Diddy to be making progress with the impressive purchase, it speaks serious volumes. The purchase would make Steph and Diddy the first African-Americans to own an NFL team. Best of luck to the guys!
