Canadian Rapper Smoke Dawg Was Killed In A Street Shooting In Toronto:
Smoke Dawg was a Canadian rising rap star but he was gunned down before he could accomplish his goals. According to the Evening Standard, Smoke Dawg was outside of Toronto’s Cube Nightclub at 8 p.m. The club was standing room only and it was still daylight out. The daylight shooting happened on the first day of the long weekend, as Queen Street West was jammed with pedestrians out enjoying the hot weather.
Out of nowhere, witnesses reported that multiple shots were fired from a black SUV or a white car. CP24 reported that two male victims were taken to hospital in a critical condition, with one later dying, and a female victim was also taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. While the news has not confirmed it yet, many people posted online saying the male victim that died was Smoke Dawg. Graphic images as well as a video was posted to social media showing a young man lying on the sidewalk in a pool of blood after shots rang out. The video was captioned as Smoke Dawg with chaotic screams in the background as people yelled for an ambulance to come.
Witnesses spoke with CP24 as they described the scene as “chaotic” in the aftermath of the attack.
We heard multiple, multiple gunshots. They came in two sets. There was a set of three to four, four to five and then a pause and then another set of literally three to four, four to five, one man told CP24. The scene just turned chaotic. There were people running everywhere, there were vehicles just trying to get out of the way. Down on Peter Street we just saw a mass of tourists – normal Saturday traffic on Queen Street – basically running scared for their lives. It was intense, it was very chaotic.
Another Toronto Rapper Was Killed As He Was Allegedly With Smoke Dawg:
Canadian hip hop artist Murda Beatz, whose real name is Shane Lee Lindstrom, paid homage to Smoke Dawg on Instagram. He also mentioned another Toronto artist that allegedly was killed with Smoke Dawg.
