Jim Jones Arrested On Drug And Gun Charges After He Led The Police On A Chase
Instead of making the news for music, it appears that members of the Dipset are trending for being arrested. According to XXL, Jim Jones was arrested for drug and firearm-related charges after a brief police chase in Coweta County, Georgia on Wednesday, June 20th.

Jim Jones Was Arrested After A Police Chase:
According to TMZ, the former Love & Hip Hop reality star was driving as a passenger with his friends in a Mercedes SUV in Coweta County, Georgia. Apparently, the police officers claim that the occupants were driving and switching four lanes while screaming, Money Ain’t A Thang. Well, maybe they didn’t do that but officers allege that the driver of the vehicle was observed switching multiple lanes on Interstate 85 as they were reportedly driving dangerously. In addition, the officers allegedly smelled marijuana. As Investigator Jeremy Wood attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Jim and his friends didn’t stop. They saw the po po’s behind them and said they weren’t going to stop. TMZ reports that the SUV accelerated and cops gave chase. During the chase, the SUV was forced to stop after they struck a deputy’s vehicle. Lawd!!!

Officers Found Drugs and A Gun In The Car:
New York rapper Jim Jones was pulled over with 3 of his friends in the car after they were allegedly driving dangerously with marijuana in the car. After police officers searched the vehicle, deputies reportedly found marijuana, 31 oxycodone pills, Percocet, vape cartridges, THC oil, 2 loaded pistols and cash which Jones called “just petty cash.” Jones claims that his female companion was the driver of the car and that he told her to pull over, but she was acting “incoherent,” according to the Newnan Times-Herald. I wonder if that companion was his longtime girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin. Neither Jones nor his friends admitted possession of any of the items, however, Jones said he had a prescription for the Oxy and Percocet pills. Because no one admitted to possessing any of the items, everyone went for a ride downtown.
Jones was booked into the Coweta County Jail Thursday morning on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, narcotics possession, marijuana possession and dangerous drugs to be kept in original container. TMZ reports The Diplomats co-founder was released on $7,000 bail.
Another Dipset Member, Juelz Santana, Was Arrested For Drugs And Weapons Too:
The Diplomats, Jim Jones, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey will be making their way from city to city starting June 21st as they are rocking it out for the Dipset Forever tour. Like his fellow band mate, Juelz Santana was arrested for drugs and guns too. Back in March, Santana was discovered with a loaded .38 caliber gun as well as prescription pills in his bag during a TSA checkpoint at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Instead of sticking around, he fled the scene and turned himself in a few days later. He has since been officially charged by a federal grand jury with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of carrying a firearm on an airplane. He could face up to 20 years in prison if found guilty on all charges.

Thankfully, Juelz is currently out on bail, the Harlem rapper was given the green light to go on tour. There are some stipulations: he must wear an ankle monitor and he also must be accompanied by his mother. I’m pretty sure his woman Kimbella is ok with that.
It seems like the Diplomats stay fly and high in real life. Ballin’!
