[PHOTO] Lil’ Mama Posted A Photo For Jay-Z’s Birthday That Has Fans In An Uproar
Whenever people hear Lil’ Mama and Jay-Z’s names in the same sentence, they automatically think of the 2009 MTV Video Music Award when the rapper-turned-actress crashed the stage during HOV’s performance with Alicia Keys. But despite the backlash she received for that awkward moment, she refused to let the past get in the way of her sending birthday wishes to her favorite rapper. So, yesterday on December 4, Lil’ Mama did just that. She posted a picture with happy birthday caption for Jay-Z. But the photo she chose has fans dragging her all over social media.
Lil’ Mama’s Instagram Blunder:
According to BET, Lil Mama actually posted a photo from that epic 2009 moment when she crashed the stage during Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” performance. With a photo of her and Jay-Z onstage after that performance, she included a caption that read, “IM STILL STANDING WIT YOU …HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOV #BROOKLYN”

Dragged Yet Again:
She may have thought the photo would be a good idea to move forward from the embarrassing moment, but for fans, the post just brought it all back to the forefront. While most people look back on moments like this and laugh, apparently, Jay-Z’s fans still aren’t letting Lil’ Mama have this one. Now, she’s being dragged all the way to hell for posting the latest photo. Many fans who commented really want to know why Lil Mama continues to remind people of this embarrassing moment.
To most fans, this is yet another “L “for Lil’ Mama but this one could have definitely been avoided. One Instagram user said, “Did you not hear what him and Alicia said about you in their interviews!? You really reminding people of this L you took!” Another person said, “Girl! You should have kept this photo to yourself! I remember you really played yourself! Stop trying to be in his circle, especially since you finally was on the road of creating your own… This just put you back again!”
However, Lil Mama is still standing by her decision to post the photo. After fans flooded the post with brash comments, LIl’ Mama felt compelled to offer an explanation for the photo. With a photo of Jay-Z, she wrote;
“My last post was Intended to acknowledge growth,” she wrote in a new post of a solo Jay. “That night, two of my hometown Heros felt disrespected and in return I felt neglected. However, time heals all and give us the gift of hindsight (20/20 vision) where we can see things clearer, learn and grow from them. ven having to overcome the scrutiny that came with my choices, I still find it in my heart to forgive and LOVE in Hopes That it is returned upon me.”
So there you have it. Lil’ Mama isn’t here for the backlash. She’s still standing with HOV. What do you think about Lil’ Mama’s post?
