Previous Battle w/ Drug Addiction:
On Monday, September 10, Bow Wow took to Instagram with a lengthy post detailing his previous health scare after abusing prescription drugs. The former child star shared his experience to make it clear to his fans that drug use should never be taken lightly. With a clip of himself from around the time he released his Face Off album, he shared a story about his hospitalization after abusing pills. He even went a step further, revealing how he was spending nearly $10,000 a month on marijuana, in addition to pills and promethazine cough syrup.
Bow Wow wrote, “Kids this is why drugs are not cool! I was so protected they never wanted the truth out. I was high off lean EVERY DAY EVERY SECOND of my life while doing this album with @omarion and smoking spending damn near 2500 on weed a week! Even he knew I was out of my mind! What’s in my hand? Punch with syrup!”
He went on to reveal how his PR team did damage control while he was hospitalized. “They said I was dehydrated (MY PR) but I was f**ked up dying in the hospital. My body had too much codeine in it. To this day, my stomach will never feel the same nor digest the same. I WAS A F**KING DRUG ADDICT at 19-20 Kids STOP THE DRUGS STOP THE PILL POPPING.”
Bow Wow concluded with a plea to those abusing drugs. “We want you here. You have so much life.”

This explains my erratic behavior and why im misunderstood the drugs controlled me
Based on the latest reports about Bow Wow and his erratic behavior, his confession about drug abuse answers lots of questions for fans. For those who don’t know, Bow Wow recently went ballistic and vandalized the set of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta. After that meltdown, Bow Wow opted to explain what happened.
“Truth – One of our staff members kept tryna get me to do this scene with Brat. I got tired of waiting (which was fine. Brat had a lot of folks to hug and so on…) and [I] wanted to walk Kuyomi to her car…I was told I couldn’t walk her! The f*ck u mean she mine! Ima make sure she safe. I get outside and she gone. Someone gave her false info knowing it would piss me off which led top me cussing out production.”
At the time, he also gave the production team a few pointers about communicating with him.
“As the EP of the show respect me as such. Don’t grab my f*cking wrist trying to stop me I’m not a f*cking child. Family always first…So this how we playing it. Mark, Tara, and Datari my business partners with the show can call me[.] Bosses talk to bosses. You, on set staff, go through my manager. If you need Bow Wow, It’s a process now for you to even speak to me.”
Over the past couple years, Bow Wow has had quite a few meltdowns that have people wonderin’ what’s really goin’ on with him. A couple months ago, he even made headlines for a social media announcement insisting he’d be giving all of his money away via CashApp and taking a job at Game Stop.
Hopefully, Bow Wow gets the help he needs as soon as possible. Best of luck to Bow.
