The Open Letter:

By now, fans know Meek and Wale have had their share of differences but it appears the two have made amends. “We went through a little rough patch or whatever but that’s family. We’re just a brotherhood. We’re both competitive. We both want to be the best.

He went on to reveal the discussion he had with the “House Party” rapper. “Spoke to my dawg for grip Yesterday … it’s funny how nobody knows how close we are or what we been through. It’s really deeper than rap. We look back and laugh at the dumb shyt and we welcome the endless possibilities of our future with open arms. The silver lining in this fucked up situation is the clarity and wisdom he has gained.

“The silver lining for me is realizing what(or who) is real. I the end there barely is a silver lining in such an unjust situation but the conversation we’ve been having have inspired me on levels I deemed unattainable at one point. I’m grateful for the ups and downs because God /Universe will bless you directly and indirectly. I’ll see u real soon my brova. Ps. I always feel weird about saying “free____” because the body can be captured but the mind can remain elusive when there is clarity.

The latest news follows reports about the possibility of Meek Mill being released from jail. For those who don’t know, there’s been lots of controversy surrounding Meek’s incarceration because many people argue that he shouldn’t even be behind bars. In a nutshell, the Philadelphia native is behind bars for popping a wheelie. Although Meek Mill had violated his probation at the time, fans and many celebrities have argued that the punishment definitely doesn’t fit the crime. In fact, Meek Mill’s legal team has also been fighting for the judge to be taken off Meek’s case due to conflict of interest. However, things could be lookin’ up for Meek in the near future.

A Glimmer Of Hope?:

According to Hollywood Life, the famed rapper could be a free man next week. The latest report released by TMZ offers a serious glimmer of hope for fans of the MMG rapper. TMZ reports, “the Philadelphia D.A.’s office feels there is a “strong showing of likelihood” that his original 2007 gun possession sentence will be overturned. A police corruption scandal in the city has already caused hundreds of convictions to be tossed out. The sole arresting officer in Meek’s original gun possession case is now under the microscope of a misconduct probe and he allegedly may have lied on the stand in Meek’s case.”

Meek’s mom has also released a statement about the latest reports. “I would like to thank the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office for carefully evaluating my son’s matter and not opposing the request for bail. The fact that Robert’s entire conviction could be overturned is a blessing and I pray that God gives Judge Brinkley the wisdom to make the right decision and allow my son to return home to his family. I truly believe justice will prevail.”

Several news outlets have speculated Meek Mill could be released as early as Monday, April 16, 2018. Prayers up and best of luck to Meek Mill.
